National Tire and Battery (NTB) is an American brand of auto service centers. NTB specializes in fluid services (oil, brake, coolant and transmission), battery services, brake services, steering & suspension services, vehicle inspections and more. The company was created in 1997 in Atlanta, Georgia, when Sears consolidated their Tire America and National Tire Warehouse brands. In 2002, the chain of 226 stores was reported to have brought in $425M in revenue and $60M in profit. The following year (2003), Tire & Battery Corporation (TBC) acquired the brand for $260M. Later in 2020, TBC Corp sold 112 NTB stores (PA, MA, GA and IL) to Mavis Tire Supply Co., which left the parent company with just over 600 locations under the Tire Kingdom and NTB brands, across 26 states. Three years later, in May of 2023, TBC sold its company-owned retail portfolio (392 NTB and 203 Tire Kingdom) to Mavis.
