Rich Murphy is a Senior Vice President in the Capital Markets Group. He performs investment sales, with a focus on Single-Tenant NNN Properties. In this role he works with investors, developers, 1031 exchange buyers, and companies performing sale-leasebacks. Prior to Avison Young, Rich spent 10 years with Calkain Companies where he performed over $300 million in investment sales as well as led the asset management business. He also worked for Akridge and The Mills Corp, in addition to over seven years in public accounting at Ernst & Young working with real estate clients providing audit and tax consulting services. He obtained his B.S. B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Merrimack College, and a Masters in Real Estate from Georgetown University. He is a CCIM, and an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
