Most of the chain’s restaurants are owned by franchisees, however, 123 locations are owned by the Zaxby company. In 2023, the average gross revenue for a Zaxby’s location was $2.2M. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, GA.

The firm was founded in 2021 and the founders include Mike James, Ryan Morita, Reed Melillo, and Domenic Hjerpe, bringing together a decade-long friendship and a shared entrepreneurial passion to the Company. As a company, Guernsey manages 155 units across four distinct businesses, which operate under the Zaxby’s, Sonic, Little Caesars, and Take-5-Oil Change brands. In addition, Guernsey plans to open 50+ 7 Brew locations in the coming years.
