John Zikos, principal at Venture Commercial, began his real estate career in 1986. Prior to joining Venture in 2001, John was a vice president at Woodmont Realty Associates and retail developer and partner at Hanover Property Company. Highlights of John’s career include selling numerous income-producing properties, including Preston Royal Village; assembling the land and handling the initial lease-up of the 430,000-square-foot Vineyard Village in Euless, Texas, and obtaining 99% occupancy; rolling out over 60 LA Fitness clubs in three markets; disposition of over 70 former Albertsons stores; and assembling land for a variety of retail developments, including 438 acres for the Rayzor Ranch Development in Denton, Texas. John leads Venture’s investment sales team, which has successfully brokered the sale of well over $500 million of several single- and multi-tenant properties including the Shoppes at Bellemead lifestyle shopping center in Shreveport, LA; Stonebridge Ranch Shopping Center anchored by Market Street in McKinney, Texas; Pipeline Village in Hurst, Texas; Las Colinas Village shopping center located in Irving, TX; Heritage Marketplace anchored by Kroger Marketplace; several single-tenant Burlington Coat Factory stores; a bank portfolio and many fast food restaurants. In addition to investment sales, John has extensive experience in tenant representation including LA Fitness clubs, HEB grocery stores, and Destination XL men’s clothing stores.
